Clowance Estate is positioned in the heart of Cornwall’s countryside, between Falmouth and St. Ives. Set in 97 acres of splendidly landscaped parkland and woodlands, Clowance Estate consists of an 18th Century manor house and its own private golf course.

Clowance is accessible from all over the UK via the M5 and A30. Situated 12 miles from Penzance and approximately 5 miles from both the north and south coasts makes it easy to enjoy the many attractions that Cornwall has on offer.

Clowance offers an exceptional assortment of luxurious holiday accommodation. Every unit is furnished to provide every requirement for self-catering, from linen, towels and duvets to hairdryer, TV, DVD and CD player along with crockery, cutlery, glassware and cookware and fully equipped kitchen. A number of units include washing machines and tumble dryers, however there are guests launderettes on site.

There is a vast range of facilities at Clowance including the multi-million pound leisure centre, year round entertainment for Children, along with a Kid’s club during the school holidays.

The Clowance Estate is in the ideal position to discover the surrounding area. Local beaches include Bassetts Cove, a small sandy beach and the beach of Portreath is set in a steep valley, mostly sand with some shingle. Home of a small harbour, once a busy port, now houses the occasional fishing boat.

St Mawes Castle is among the best-preserved of Henry VIII's coastal artillery fortresses, and the most elaborately decorated of them all.One of the chain of forts built between 1539 and 1545 to counter an invasion threat from Catholic France and Spain, it guarded the important anchorage of Carrick Roads, sharing the task with Pendennis Castle on the other side of the Fal estuary.

Our City of Truro offers a delightful relaxing day of shopping - a city 'Cornish-Style'. We have the high street stores, family-run business and inspiration on every corner.

Why not take a break from the shops with a visit to Truro Cathedral, which lies at the heart of Truro, or The Royal Cornwall Museum, on River Street.

There’s plenty to interest all ages here.

Truro does have a Park and Ride scheme, but it only operates between July and September. There are regular bus and train services operating to the city from Camborne.

Paradise Park was established in Hayle, Cornwall in 1973 as a tropical bird garden, and since then otters, red pandas, native red squirrels and the rare Cornish Chough can all be seen here.

The ‘Fun Farm’ is a favourite with children, and daily events bring visitors closer to the wildlife.

The Park is set around a Victorian walled garden, and features tropical plants which thrive in Cornwall’s mild climate.

In 2005 the new JungleBarn indoor play centre was opened, so that there is plenty of active fun for children even the weather is cold and wet.

You'll find the town decked out with bluebells, gorse, laurel leaves and colourful flags. Dancing begins at 7.00 am, and at 8.30 there's the mummers' play known as the Hal-an-Tow, at several venues throughout the town. Watch St George and St Michael slay the Dragon and the Devil, cheered on by a crowd dressed in Lincoln green and Elizabethan robes.

A mostly sand with a little shingle beach set in a steep valley. To the western end of the beach are high cliffs and another smaller cove which is separated by the high tide. There are a couple of interesting rocks just of the coast.

The other end of the beach is bounded by a granite wall which protects the narrow harbour. Once a busy port, importing coal and exporting copper but now only sheltering the occasional fishing boat
